  • Data is directly written to the cache. The RAID controller card updates data to drives only after the cache data is accumulated to a specified extent. This enables batch data write. In addition, the cache increases the overall data write speed due to its higher speed than drives.
  • Some data can be directly obtained from the cache instead from drives. It reduces the drive seeks and response time, and improves the data read speed.
